The semi-annual Tech Challenge program connects water innovators to innovative water users through topic-specific open innovation contests.
The Water Council’s Spring Tech Challenge is open through May 8th for applications, and the sponsors A. O. Smith, Badger Meter, Watts Water Technologies and Xylem are seeking innovative solutions to the following topics:
- Non-turbine Energy Harvesting and
- Elimination of high operating expenses in sludge management costs
Prospective technologies can come from entrepreneurs, university students or researchers, water professionals, private sector or just inventive individuals. Selected applicants compete for a top prize of $10,000, potential for joint commercialization and access to sponsoring companies’ R&D expertise.
